Cement & Lime Plants

High-temperature kiln fuel, rotary kiln co-firing

Cement and lime manufacturing requires sustained high-temperature heat. Selected biomass fuels may be evaluated as part of an engineered alternative-fuel or co-firing programme.

Application Context

Understanding the requirement

Rotary-kiln applications require careful control of heat input, feed chemistry, ash, contaminants, feeding, flame conditions, process quality, and emissions. The buyer may select any product from the complete AEPL range for its own assessment.

Biomass introduction may require changes to storage, preparation, conveying, dosing, burner operation, controls, fire protection, and permits. The scope cannot be determined without a site-specific engineering review and controlled trial.

Buyer-led Product Choice

Choose from the complete product range

We do not assign or recommend products by industry. Every AEPL product is available for buyer consideration, and the buyer decides what to enquire about or order.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can biomass fully replace coal in a cement kiln, or only partially?

The achievable substitution level is plant-specific and cannot be assumed. It depends on kiln and burner design, fuel preparation and feeding, process chemistry, product quality, safety, emissions, permissions, and operating targets. An engineering assessment and controlled trial are required.

Who selects the biomass product for a rotary kiln?

The buyer selects the product from the complete AEPL range. The plant must evaluate chemistry, ash, calorific value, feeding, flame behaviour, process quality, safety, emissions, and commercial feasibility.
